One Day at the Foundry
A while ago mjfstudio began an explorative journey across architecture, people and their matching points, to find a beautiful mix, although in a very contrasting way. To be fair, this architecture was not as you may expect: it was not smooth and polished with marbles and decors as a Palladian villa, nor was a modern creation with ribcage steel structures in Calatrava-style. It was instead a dismissed workplace in Swanley, Kent, a formerly foundry, now abandoned and left in its beautiful decay, with all the old machineries rusted and covered with cobwebs all over. We mostly used natural light, both for outdoor and indoor shots, where the sun was popping in through skylights on the sheet metal roof.
